Dr. Dilusha Wickramasingha is a dedicated researcher and a member of the Sri Lanka Scientific Service. She specializes in natural product chemistry, organic synthesis, and pharmaceuticals. She currently serves as a Research Officer in the Department of Biochemistry at the Medical Research Institute, Sri Lanka, where she is actively involved in health-related research to improve medical practices and develop novel therapeutic applications. Her work includes bioactive compound isolation, drug design, and in-vitro bioactivity studies, contributing to advancements in pharmaceutical sciences.
In addition to her research, she plays a crucial role in fostering a strong research culture within the Sri Lanka Scientific Service, supporting scientific staff in building their research capabilities. She also supervises research students and delivers lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of advanced organic spectroscopy, phytochemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications and presented her findings at international conferences.
